The Mulata pants emerged from the "Extraños" project, an exploration of the migrant experience on their journey to the United States. This garment aims to reflect both physical and emotional vulnerability by exposing intimate areas of the body, symbolizing the hardships faced along the way. The hand-dyed and faded fabric evokes the arid desert landscapes and "La Bestia," the freight train many migrants use to cross the country.

The fabric with which your mulata is made is a denim base that is intervened manually. This means that the fabric can change or have variations of tones over time, just like you.

Due to the fabric’s hand-treated finish, we recommend avoiding washing or opting for dry clean only, as water may alter or remove the rust dye.

Iron on low heat if necessary.
